Score Sheet Education Session Request

 

Program Directors, Gym Owners and Teacher Advisors may request score sheet education sessions for their coaches. These one hour sessions may be held in-person or virtually on a date and time of their choosing (based on facilitator availability). Programs requesting the session and all individuals participating must be ACA and Cheer Canada members in good standing. All coaches must be fully certified. The session will highlight the same information that is presented during the virtual Scoring Seminar sessions that are offered to all ACA members. Please complete the form to express an interest. 

 

NOTE: This application is not intended for individual coaches. They may register for the Scoring Seminars that are offered annually to all ACA members. Don't see an available date? Contact us: judge@albertacheerleading.ca

ACA Judge Exam Retake

This exam is to assess an official's ability to be successful on the Building score sheet for all divisions and levels of cheerleading.

 

Individuals writing the exam must:

  • be 18+ years of age

  • be a resident of Alberta

  • have a current ACA and Cheer Canada Official membership and be in good standing 

  • have successfully completed the technical training course

  • have successfully completed the video training course (Level 2)

  • have signed up to participate for an in-person training session (Level 2)

  • uploaded their Safe Sport certification to their Sportlomo account

 

Individuals are permitted up to two attempts to achieve 80% or over to be certified in Building for the 2025 season. A third attempt will not be permitted. Fees are non-refundable.

 

Individuals are permitted to use all ACA, Cheer Canada and IASF scoring and judging materials to assist them while using the exam, however individuals must complete the exam independently and in one sitting within the designated time limit.

 

The exam will include both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. A final mark will not be assigned as the exam must be reviewed and scored by the judging director. Participants can anticipate their final score within 72 hours of completion of the exam.

 

Individuals are not permitted to share information found on the exam or any information pertaining to accessing the exam with others. This will result in an automatic fail and disqualification to certify in any area for at least the current season.

A link to the exam will be sent within 48 hours of registering.

Level 4 Judges Pathway -Supervisory

Level 4 Judges Pathway -Supervisory

Participants must be 18 years of age or older, reside in Alberta and have a minimum of two (2) years of cheer athlete and/or cheer coaching experience with a recognized scholastic or all star program.

Level 4 Officials (Supervisory)

Only those who served as a Supervisory Judge for the 2023/24 season or who have been invited by the ACA are permitted to register. 

Individuals who were Supervisory Judges for the 2023/24 season and no longer wish to fulfill the role may register as a Level 3 official.

Level 4 officials must complete all action items as stated in the Pathways for Officials document. They are required to register in a Level 3 course for any specialty areas in which they do not have a minimum of 30 hours of on-stand experience. Courses include technical information and video training. 

Level 4 officials who did not certify in Game Day, Performance Cheer & Deductions/Score Check for the 2023-24 season must do so this season.

If the 2023/24 season was an official's first year in the Supervisory Role, then they must complete an in-person shadow judging opportunity prior to accepting a Supervisory role for the upcoming season.

A mandatory Supervisory Training session will be held in November or late December.

Open to those that were trained as Tabulators for the 2023-24 Season.

A mandatory Training session will be held in November or late December.
